Thomas J. Duke: Director, Insurance Adviser and Broker

Thomas holds Life and Health licenses in Massachusetts and Connecticut; he also holds a series 63 license in Massachusetts. Thomas started in the insurance industry in 1985 after graduating from Assumption College with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business. After 3 years working in insurance, Thomas, along with his wife Erika, founded Duke Insurance in 1988. The 33 years of experience in insurance allows Thomas to provide exceptional insight and knowledge for our clients. When not working, Thomas enjoys giving back to the community, specifically as a member of the Board of Directors at the Children’s Study Home, spending time with his family, and playing tennis. Thomas looks forward to finding the best insurance solutions for your needs!

 

Erika O. Duke, MSFP: President, Insurance Broker

Erika holds Life, Health, and Property & Casualty licenses in Massachusetts. Erika graduated from Assumption College with a degree in Accounting in 1985. Erika began in the insurance industry when she founded Duke Insurance with her husband, Thomas, in 1988. Erika later went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Financial Planning from Bentley University. Erika’s extensive knowledge from her many years in the insurance industry, combined with her education in financial planning, allows Erika to provide a unique perspective when advising clients. When not working, Erika enjoys spending time offering her financial planning services pro bono to individuals in need of guidance with money management, spending time with family, and training her Labrador Retrievers.

 

Colleen Bedient: Sr. Customer Service Representative

Colleen holds her Health license in Massachusetts. She has been working at Duke Insurance for over 10 years during which she has gained a wide breadth of knowledge regarding insurance products. She takes pride in using this knowledge to help our clients in whatever way possible. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her daughters, traveling, and taking care of her adorable cat and dog.

 

 

Jason Duke: Operations Manager

Jason graduated Summa Cum Laude from Assumption College with degrees in Economics and History. His work history includes nearly 10 years with Duke Insurance interspersed between school and other jobs. Jason adds another dimension of insurance knowledge to Duke Insurance as he worked both as an Underwriting Assistant and Underwriter at a large Boston based insurer. Jason also has an understanding of organizing and running a small business from his time working at a Boston based employment law firm. Jason is excited to use this experience with Duke Insurance on a full-time basis to improve the service offered by Duke Insurance to our clients!
